1 | Fordo stood in the gloom of the Morona Cave Complex. The huge western gates were jammed shut so the only ways on seemed to be along a passage leading east or up a set of worn steps which spiralled away into the darkness above. |
2 | Fordo stood in a small, dome- shaped cave. On the wall, in ASCII runes, was a message. A spiral staircase led down through a hole in the floor. |
3 | Fordo found himself in a large cavern. Passages led south and west but to the east was a very impressive doorway. A vending machine was positioned against the northern wall. |
4 | Fordo looked around. He was in the plush offices of the Morona Cave Complex Tourist Information Centre. The room was obviously neglected though as all the nice little pamphlets on Morona had been removed and the walls were bare of publicity posters. There was a desk. |
5 | Fordo was in the secret room. A large rug lay across the floor and a heavy door was set into the eastern wall. |
6 | Fordo looked around. He was in a dark cave. A neon sign above the large archway in the east wall flashed on and off. A heavy door was set in the western side of the cave and a passage led away to the north. |
7 | Fordo was in a secret chamber, under the rug in the secret room above. The chamber was small, dark and smelled of new carpet. A hole in the ceiling was the only exit. |
8 | Fordo was on the western end of the lift-bridge. A desk with a small control panel sat on the edge of the gaping chasm. The exit was to the south. |
9 | Fordo stood at the bridge of Khardinal Hume, an ancient, computer-controlled lift-bridge spanning the vast chasm from which errupted great pillars of smoke, flames and toxic waste. The control unit was on the west side of the bridge, across the great fissure. |
10 | Fordo was in a small alcove, somewhere in the maze which, in case you really wanted to know, was situated to the west. |
11 | Fordo was at the south exit of the Morona Cave Complex. A sign above the doors encouraged all to "Have A Good Day And Come On Back Real Soon!". |
12 | Fordo was now in a huge, low- ceilinged chamber, stretching out north for a good way. To the west, smoke billowed from a great fissure in the stone floor. A passage led east. |
13 | Fordo was travelling through the dark halls of Morona. Passages led north, east and west. |
14 | Fordo was in an ork-tunnel, delving east into the mountain. |
15 | Fordo stood on the east bank of a swiftly flowing, black river. A path led east. |
16 | Fordo was at the foot of one of the Wiffy Mountains. The sun blazed down, a cooling breeze blew and small furry animals molested smaller furry animals on the springy grass nearby. Paths led east and west. |
17 | Fordo was in the enchanted realm of DeLorean where time stood still and police never searched. The fertile soil supported a great forest to the south and east. A path led west. |
18 | Fordo wandered awestruck among the trees on a leafy carpet of gold. Paths led south and west. |
19 | Fordo ambled along a leafy glade of green and golden trees on a path leading north and east. |
20 | Fordo stood at the foot of the palacial tree of Chlorophyll and Sellotape, Queen and King of the great enchanted realm. Paths led away north, south and west into the trees. |
21 | Fordo stood in the TV room of the palacial tree. Set into the floor and looking more than a little out of place, a jaccuzi foamed quietly. Deep carpet gave the final touch of luxury to the monstrously indulgent interior. An escalator led down. |
22 | Fordo stood in a sheltered clearing. In the centre, stood an ornamental birdbath and fountain. A small stone figure on the side of the fountain urinated on a vulture floating upside down in the murky water. A path led east. |
23 | Fordo was at a fork in the elven path through the magical realm. The said path went east, west and north. |
24 | Fordo found himself on the bank of a small stream which flowed into the great river Anadin. To the west, the glory of the trees of DeLorean radiated out like sunlight, contrasting sharply the dull, gloomy Wilberland, far away to the south. |
25 | Fordo stood on the summit of Alma Nak, the high mountain at the end of the first book. A pay-telescope had been set up on the rocky pinacle for people to see the surrounding lands. A path wound down the slopes. |
26 | Fordo found himself in a flat, grassy bay, half way up the mountain. Paths led from below up to the summit. Ol' JRRT might mention the flat stone, the rowan trees and the birdies wheeling about in the great gulf of air nearby. I am not going to. |
27 | Fordo sat thoughtfully in the little inflatable raft, floating gently down the Anadin river. The water lapped gently |
28 | Fordo was at the camp site. A radio-active rock lit the small clearing with a warming, cheery glow and the river gurgled wetly along nearby. |
29 | Fordo was sailing down the wet and watery river Anadin in the little inflatable sea-raft. |
30 | Fordo was in a grassy clearing. To the south, the dark forest stretched away to the plains of Bedpan. A narrow path wound up the side of a nearby mountain and another path led east. |
31 | Fordo stood on the western shore of the river. A narrow path led away west into the trees. |
32 | Fordo was in the dense forests the extreme northern edge of the plains of Bedpan. A narrow path leads north through the trees. |
33 | Fordo was on the shore of the great, wet river Anadin. The waters flowed south towards the south, towards Dormor! |
34 | Fordo was lost in the maze of Morona. |

43 | Caption: Slowly, through the gloom, a great shadowy figure came striding onto the bridge. Grandalf advanced to meet it. |
44 | Fordo wandered aimlessly over the edge of the crevasse and made a deep hole in the ground below. |
45 | Fordo was caught, battered and deep-fried by a band of orks who came upon him in the darkness ! |
46 | Suddenly, there was a tremendous noise and a C5 roared into view. It was driven by one of the evil nazal! |

0 | Fordo unlocked and opened the door with the key. |
1 | Fordo closed and locked the door with the key. |
2 | But the door was already open! |
3 | But the door was already closed and locked. |
4 | But the door was locked. |
5 | The rug felt very heavy as Fordo lifted it. Below, he could see a way down! |
6 | IS A BASTARD. |
7 | "Hello Fordo." said Grandalf. |
8 | "Hello Fordo." said Borrower. |
9 | "Hi there, ring bearer!" said the dwarf. |
10 | "Salutations." began Aragont. "I am Aragont son of Artifax and I have many names . . . . " "Put a wok in it!" suggested a voice nearby. |
11 | "Hello Fordy." said Pimply. |
12 | "Hi Fordy!" said Murky. |
13 | "HO, HO, HO!" said the disreputable pixie. |
14 | "Hello darling." said Legoland. |
15 | "Well hallo there to you mister Fordo sir." said Spam. |
16 | Fordo waited for a while. Time passed. |
17 | The message read, "Why are you here? You should have gone east from the first location!" |
18 | "Git yur originul maps of the maze here!" proclaimed the disreputable pixie. |
19 | "A coin, good sir!" requested the disreputable pixie. |
20 | "Thank you gratuitously." said the disreputable pixie, taking the coin and pushing a badly photocopied map towards you. |
21 | Fordo killed the disreputable pixie messily. Another one appeared! |
22 | Fordo slipped the ring on and vanished. "Well, well. I wonder where the ring-bearer's gone!", said a voice sarcastically. |
23 | Fordo vanished! |
24 | Fordo examined the great ring. It was perfectly smooth apart from one bit where, written in ancient eastern runes were the words, "Made in Hong Kong". |
25 | "Sod off!" remarked Spam. |
26 | The poster depicted Sylvester Stalown as the ever-macho ROCKY. |
27 | Fordo examined the map. It read: Ye Official Mappe ---------- ---------- ---------- ------------------ ------ ------ ------ -- ------ ------ 1985 Barbican Design Team Patant Pending |
28 | "Verily and forsooth." Grandalf explained gravely. |
29 | Fordo dropped the ROCKY poster. Ponce grabbed it and ran off, hotly pursued by the others. |
30 | Suddenly, a horde of fiendish monsters stepped from behind a convenient rock. Fordo gulped in horror as he recognized "Ponce And The Revolution", "Fwankie Goes To Hollywood" and "Vulture Club":- all well known G*Y groups! "Hello sailors!" said Legoland, sauntering in. |
31 | Fordo attacked but was instantly squashed by Ponce's elephantine body-guard. |
32 | Fordo felt a queer sensation. |
33 | Fordo collapsed and died, having accidentally contracted AIDS. |
34 | Spam appeared. |
35 | Suddenly, a hair-perming shriek halted our beloved in his very tracks. Out of the gloom, the epitemy of evil came. A giant shadow, the balhog stepped onto the bridge. "Shoo! Get Away!" cried Grandalf as he ran to see it off. |
36 | "Press the green button!" cried Giblet, breaking wind in his terror. "There isn't one, wiffy!" said Aragont, examining the control panel frantically. "Why doesn't someone push that red button ?" enquired Borrower with a sickeningly calm voice. "Yes, why ?" said Murky. "I don't know!" wailed Pimply. |
37 | Fordo pressed the red button. The bridge lifted rapidly, dropping the Balhog and Grandalf unexpectedly into the chasm. "Hope you catch bubonic plague!" cried the old wizard as he fell into the depths. "Alas!" mourned one and all. "All the more fame for the rest of us!" they consoled each other reflectively. |
38 | The company appeared. |
39 | Ancient prophesy stated that this couldn't happen yet! |
40 | Fordo pressed the red button. The bridge lifted. |
41 | Fordo pressed the blue button. The bridge lowered. |
42 | But the bridge was already up! |
43 | But the bridge was already down! |
44 | Fordo examined the desk control panel. It featured a red button and another button in a pretty pastel shade of blue. |
45 | Fordo examined the vending machine. It had a large hole and below this, a slot. A small metal plate read: "Developed by trolls, for trolls. PAT PENDING." |
46 | Fordo examined the rug. Fordo saw the rug. "Well! Wasn't that thrilling?!" gibbered the narrator. |
47 | The door was heavy set well into the rock. A sign affixed unto it read: * VERY SECRET ROOM * There was also a keyhole. |
48 | The rifle had "ACORN VEHICLES For use on polypropelene only" written on it. |
49 | The doormat had "WELCOME" written on it. |
50 | NO! |
51 | Fordo examined the treasure. Fordo saw the treasure. SURPRISE, SURPRISE! |
52 | Try again at location 17. |
53 | Fordo inserted the battery. With a loud 'CLUNK', a coin fell out. NB Troll design: see Appendix 87 |
54 | Fordo fired! But there wasn't any poly- propolene about. |
55 | Fordo fired and the C5 exploded into a cloud of sparks, its driver ejecting at the last moment and crashing into the coarse woodland on the other side of the river. "Hey! Neat-o!" squeaked a passing gnome, taking the gun and wandering away. |
56 | Fordo threw the rope across the river. It caught in something. Fordo pulled the rope. The "General Belgrano" came sailing across the river. Suddenly, a submarine torpedoed it and it sank dragging Fordo into the black water where he fell asleep and died . . . |
57 | The small furry animals hopped out of reach. |
58 | Remember Jack and the beanstalk! |
59 | Fordo planted the "magic beans". A sportscar tree grew up! This action has increased your score. Good, eh? |
60 | Fordo drank the ale, hiccupped twice, threw up all over the place, fell over and felt much better. |
61 | Fordo munched the "magic beans" thoughtfully. Shortly, a pink elephant flew past. "My, my!" thought Fordo. "A pink elephant's just flown past." Soon, an entire squadron of pink elephants flew past, being hotly pursued by several brightly glowing, radio-active traffic wardens. The ground floated gently away and Fordo's eyes closed . . . Coroners verdict: overdose. |
62 | Fordo drank the water, fell asleep and died. |
63 | Elves appeared and gave Fordo his security ID. |
64 | A sentry shot Fordo accidentally for not having valid ID! |
65 | An apparition appeared and said, "You must do something here!" |
66 | The jacket was boggit size. |
67 | The sword was short and strong. |
68 | Fordo noticed nothing of any real interest. |
69 | "Be thou not so violent!" said a voice from nowhere. |
70 | But Fordo couldn't climb trees! |
71 | But boggits couldn't swim! |
72 | Fordo did, everyone died. |
73 | Watch thy language, scum-ball ! |
74 | "Hello, hunky boggit." said the beautiful queen. |
75 | "Alas." explained the narrator. |
76 | Well hacked, you evil little slime-ball. Now 10 LET hell=666 20 GO TO hell 666>POKE 23659,0 |
77 | "INDEED!" roared Sellotape. |
78 | The Nazgul captured the ring, all was lost! |
79 | Fordo couldn't reach and he couldn't make Chlorophyll lie down! She laughed cruelly at his feeble attempt. |
80 | Fordo couldn't reach so Legoland made him bend over. |
81 | "Come," said Chlorophyll, "gaze into the mirror!" |
82 | Fordo looked and saw an old and learned scribe. And he spake saying, "Verily, it shall come to pass that penguins shall fly with the dragons. And they shall bear children, the nilraCs. I have seen thy future, ring- carrier. Thou shalt go now unto the river! Make haste! This is a recording." |
83 | Fordo looked again, but only commercials could be seen. |
84 | "Goodbye." said Chlorophyll. |
85 | A small gray figure paddled inconspicuously along behind them in an old inner tube. |
86 | A small gray figure roared past inconspicuously in a speed boat. |
87 | Well done! You have completed part 2. Now onto the last part for which the passwords are: "Work for money, spend money, spend for love, love for money" (put one space between each word and don't miss out on the commas!) |
88 | "Well, we're all going to Isengard." remarked Aragont, "You pootle off to Dormor, Bye!" |
89 | "I'm coming with you, Mr Fordo sir!" observed Spam. |
90 | LATER! |
91 | Fordo slept for a while and woke feeling much better. |
92 | Fordo lifted the mat and found a key hidden underneath. |
93 | Gays blocked the way! |
94 | The balhog came upon the company and destroyed them ! |
95 | Chlorophyll went down. |
96 | Chlorophyll went south. |
97 | Chlorophyll went west. |
98 | Soon, the boat put in to shore. |
99 | A basilisk lumbered past. "You may lose your rope in the mountains." it said, "If you do, just say 'hog' to magic it back." The basilisk turned a passing ork army to stone and ambled away into the undergrowth. |
100 | Fordo inserted the coin and looked through the telescope. Far away, beyond the mountains, he spied a great marsh which he knew he must go through. Maze-like paths crossed this hazard in the shape of ancient runes, symbolized by the name of that place. |
101 | Fordo did and was mauled to ecstacy! |

Fordo found himself on the bank of a small stream which flowed into the great river Anadin. To the west, the glory of the trees of DeLorean radiated out like sunlight, contrasting sharply the dull, gloomy Wilberland, far away to the south.

Fordo found himself in a flat, grassy bay, half way up the mountain. Paths led from below up to the summit. Ol' JRRT might mention the flat stone, the rowan trees and the birdies wheeling about in the great gulf of air nearby. I am not going to.
